In Holism, we believe that living
things embody a divine presence which identifies each while connecting all in a web of life. When we become disconnected
from this sense of our own divine presence or feel isolated, we may begin to experience spiritual, mental/emotional, and/or
physical imbalances, or dis-eases. People restore balance and experience
healing in ways that are both unique and personal. The process of fulfilling one's healed state may involve the
creation of a relationship that conveys safety, sacredness, acceptance, and service through respect and dignity. It
is this "healing presence" that may differentiate holistic healing in a peaceful state from fragmented fixing in
a state of disconnection. Spiritual counseling provides the opportunity to honor and
integrate one's spiritual and/or religious beliefs with self-care and self-healing practices. As healing occurs,
one may experience a connection with one's Inner Voice and/or God/Creator/Source in a personally meaningful way.
As a result, one may develop a greater understanding of one's life purpose – both retrospectively and looking ahead
to choose one's future path. In addition, spiritual counseling holds
a sacred space in which one may explore personal growth steps, which are both spiritual and practical. Seeing spirit
in practice becomes transformational in that spiritual energy, or "inspiration," manifests in physical form. In essence spiritual counseling offers perspectives and practices that support
one in moving from a state of mind to a state of being. To
